Aussie priest makes a perfect case AGAINST lockdowns at Sydney protest (Rebel News, July 2021)

The week after my last service in the church, I scheduled a 10-day holiday in Queensland with my dear daughter. Sadly, that turned out to be the first week of lockdown. The holiday was cancelled, and I was stuck at home. I didn’t handle it well. With all that was going on, the lockdown made me feel like giving up and ending it all.

It occurred to me then that if I was finding it so hard to cope, what about all the vulnerable people I’d been working with? How were they handling it? Sure enough, I soon had a report of a suicide though the boxing club, and then another, and then another.

By the time the Sydney Freedom protest was held, I’d come to know of one dear friend who had died of COVID (dear Father Alexi of Damascus) and five people who had died at their own hand.  The lockdowns pushed people who were on the edge over the edge.

It was great to get the opportunity to share my pain with Rebel News. You’ll notice that a warning has been placed at the beginning of the clip. That’s the censors letting you know that what I’m saying is controversial and could be dangerous! I take that as a compliment, though I believe what I’m saying is straightforward common sense.
