I have been very privileged, over the last 15 years or so, to have attracted some very positive media attention. We have been featured on more than 20 TV News and Current Affair shows, have been the subject of over 100 newpaper and magazine articles, and have done more radio interviews than I care to remember. Our work has also been the subject of two short documentary films! Below are some of my favourite newspaper and magazine clippings, with a link to a larger database of favourites, as compiled by my beloved daughter, Veronica. I've also included links to some radio interviews and video footage. Thank you to all my media buddies who have supported our work. You have been the key to helping us find the funding for our work to continue. This pic in the Herald in 1996 caught the eye of Ray Williams, then CEO of HIH. His support kept us afloat at that time.

MY FAVOURITE ARTICLES (click the title to see the clipping or click here for a list of selected clippings) Meet a Priest with a Punch The Courier, June 14th 1994 This article in The Courier is what got all the publicity started for us. Brian Morgan covered my five-round challenge to local kids, which initiated a flood of TV and other media interviews. This helped us to launch our Youth Centre with style! Priest's mission goes to the ring Sydney Morning Herald, October 5th 1996 This article by Jeff Wells (featuring the above pic by Adam Pretty) gained us more funding than most of our other media coverage combined. Through the support of HIH and others who responded to the article, we raised over $50,000 in a month. The Two of Us Good Weekend, October 5th, 2002 In case you think it's about Ange and myself, it's actually about me and Kon! The Two of Us is a prominent column, and I remember it well, as I got in a bit of trouble later for the swearing. It was written by Steve Lacey, who is still a good mate. Fighting Father Battles for Youth Glebe and Inner Western Weekly, January 26th, 2004 I just love the picture in this one, and the memory of the fight. It was only an exhibition but it was one of the biggest shows we have put on! And Mr Mundine was a perfect gentleman - hitting me hard enough to show that he took me seriously. Out of the box, into the ring Warcry, March 27th, 2004 The only article we've had that has made a serious attempt to assess Ange's role in our work here. VIDEO CLIPPINGS (click the link to open the clip in a new window) Fight Club Fairfax Digital 2005 This video clip appeared on the front page of the sites of a number of this country's leading newspapers! Thank you to Andrew Connell and the team at Fairfax Digital for a first class production that captures beautifully what our Fight Club is about. Andrew Denton's 'Enough Rope' Screened July 25th, 2005 Along with my appearance on Foreign Correspondent, this is certainly the TV spot I am best remembered for. Happily the ABC has a video clip from the episode online! And for the record, Andrew Denton may be an atheist, but he is a great bloke!
