Partners in the Good Fight

When one man dreams, it is just a dream, but when we all dream together,
it is the beginning of a new reality.

Dom Helder Camara

G'day Fighter.

It's Father Dave back with you again, and this month I'm focusing our ezine on one of our most colourful Fighting Fathers - World Welterweight boxing Champion, Lovemore N'dou.

Lovemore is a parishioner at Holy Trinity and a part of our Fight Club, and he's back in the ring at age 41, on a quest for a few more world titles.

Moreover, Lovemore's quest this time is for more than boxing glory. This is a team effort where we aim to raise funds for the Youth Centre, fight AIDS in South Africa, and make a broad impact on the lives of young people around the planet!

Lovemore beats Gairy St Clair on August 10 2012

The pic above was taken just after Lovemore's recent comeback fight on August 10th - a victory over former WBF World LIghtweight champion, Gairy St Clair. I appreciate that Lovemore seems to be the only one not smiling in the shot. Even though the result was never in doubt, Lovemore worked hard over a full twelve rounds to beat St Clair, and was probably looking for a chance to sit-down by this stage.

I won't say any more about the fight as you can see it below! Click here or scroll down to the video section and you can watch the entire bout! Mind you, the complete video goes for more than an hour, so you might want to get yourself a cup of coffee first.

My hope is that you'll get to see Lovemore in person before this quest is over, no matter where in the world you live! We've got some more fights coming up in Oz over the next few months, but may well be touching gloves with the likes of Ricky Hatton before the year is out! You'll be able to keep up with Lovemore's movements through my weekly blog reports or through the site we're setting up for Lovemore (

This Month's Freebie: Pin Traffic Smasher
Pin Traffic Smasher

Not everyone can be a world-class boxer, but I do believe that each of us can develop a world-class platform from which we can broadcast our message and share our passions with the world.

This is what I try to teach in my 'How 2 Change the World' eCourse, and (as I share there) the Internet gives ordinary persons like us amazing tools by which we can access a world-wide audience, such as would have been unthinkable a generation ago!

Pinterest is one of those tools, and it's the 'latest big thing' when it comes to sharing images and videos around the web. Perhaps you're already familiar with Pinterest. If not (or even if you are) perhaps it's time you did this video course!

The 'Pin Traffic Smasher' course is targeted a businesses who want to use this latest big thing in the social networking world to brand their products and make more money, but (just about) anything that can be used to market widgets can also be used to promote causes and publish truth! So watch these videos, learn what Pinterest is about, and give careful thought as to how you might use this tool to advance your online work.

'Pin Traffic Smasher' is free to financial members of Just click here and you should be taken straight to the registration page. If you're not a member, you can take out a one-month free trial membership now and still download the full video-course at no charge.

If you'd rather not join but would still like the videos, you can purchase them for $10 here, and you can get a $2 discount if you enter the code word 'FIGHTER' (in capital letters) where it asks for a coupon code on the site.

Please note that 'Pin Traffic Smasher' is 'resell' software, which means that whether you purchase it or download it free as part of your membership, you can resell the course from your own website and keep the profits. The package comes with an editable copy of the salespage that you can use.

Father Dave What's News

On the right is the Twitter Feed of my 30 most recent posts.  I use Twitter to log my online activity and promote the work of our members.

Apart from updates on Lovemore's pugilistic adventures, you'll find that most of my tweets over the last month have been pointing to alternative news sources on the Middle East - on Israel/Palestine, Syria and Iran in particular. My aim is to provide some sort of balance to the disinformation that circulates through the mainline media about what's really going on in these parts of our world.

It never ceases to amaze me how readily we swallow bald-faced lies about WMD's etc. and never punish the liar even when he is exposed. And yet when someone publishes the truth - like Julian Assange or Bradley Manning - we punish them without mercy!

If you're on Twitter, please do follow me at I promise I'll follow you back.

Virtual Pulpit: The Armor of God

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. ... Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. (Ephesians 6:10-17)

I should have guessed that somebody would snap a picture of me during my sermon on the 'Armor of God'.

Yes, that's me, with the 'headgear of righteousness' on my head and the 'groin-guard of salvation' held aloft in my left hand. I had one of the 'gloves of the Spirit' on at that stage of the sermon and I can't tell whether I still had the 'mouthguard of Prayer' in or not.

It was all a bit of fun, of course, but behind the theatrics there was a serious message. Would you like to hear or read more?

Video of the Month: Lovemore N'Dou v Gary St Clair

Here's the video you've been waiting for - 12 action-packed rounds of pugilistic mayhem between two former world champions - Lovemore N'dou and Gairy St Clair.

Actually there wasn't much mayhem in this fight. Both men are such seasoned professionals - they were smooth and slick and beautiful to watch! This fight of August 10 was for both the WBF World Welterweight title and the IBF Pan-Pacific Welterweight title. There was never any doubt to my mind as to who was the stronger of the two fighters, but Gairy St Clair certainly made Lovemore work hard for the victory!

OK Fighter, I guess that about wraps it up for this ezine!

I trust you haven't been put off by the rather singular focus of this edition. I appreciate that not every reader of my ezine is a boxing fan, and yet this campaign is about more than boxing. It's about making a difference, and my hope and prayer is that between Lovemore and myself and the rest of the team we will make a real difference in the lives of many people over the coming months, in particular young people who are at-risk.

You can keep up with our progress with this and with all the other crazy things we get up to through my Monday Missives. They come out once per week and are archived on If you're on my mailing list I'll send you one every Monday.

Keep us in your prayers, as I do you, and know that the most practical way to support our work is to become a financial member at It only costs $10/month but it keeps our wheels turning. Yeah!

May the Lord bless and strengthen you for the work to which you have been called.

Your brother in the Good Fight,
