Australian Federation of Pankration Athlima
Pankration is possibly the most ancient of all martial art sporting competitions. Many think that it began as early as the 12 century B.C., as it gains mention in the ancient story of Jason and the Argonauts. The Australian Federation of Pankration Athlima (AFPA) are affiliates of the International Federation of Pankration Athlima (IFPA) which was formed at the world congress, in Lamia, Greece in 1999.
